Carlos was born in the Sacred Valley of Cusco, Peru. He grew up with his grandparents, and experienced the joy of sustainable living. In the high Andes, he felt a direct connection with Pachamama (Mother Earth) and with his Apus (Spirit Protectors).
His grandparents were farmers who lived completely off their land. Since there were no hospitals, they relied on their natural abilities to heal and trusted their connection with Pachamama for treating illness. Without weather forecasters or astronomers to read the stars, they became attuned with nature spirits to understand weather patterns.
As farmers, it was essential to live in connection with Pachamama and to be aware of all their senses. Nature is not separated from us; instead we are part of it. In the Andes, we talk with the seeds a day before planting. We transmit intentions so that seeds can change their chemical composition to be protected from earthworms. We use our senses to predict the weather by reading the Milky Way, the Moon and Stars, We know that it will be a sunny or rainy year so we can choose which crops to cultivate because some will need more rain, We talk with Pachamama, and ask for rain; our request will be confirmed by observing animal behavior such as the singing of the frogs. We also use our senses to read the wind. We know when sickness may be coming for plants and animals so we can prevent it. When we water our plants, we talk to the water, asking it to change the chemical composition so plants will absorb only the elements that are needed for their benefit.
We call on our Apus, the ones who are the healers, to assist in the treatment of our animals that are sick with a high infection. We bless the water so it can become healing water.
Carlos would like to share with us, in a simple way, all this knowledge that he gained from his grandparents. We all have an innate ability to heal. It is programmed into our DNA. Inside each one of us there exists an infinite source of wisdom, healing energy, and unlimited reservoirs of possibilities that are waiting to be awakened. Carlos believes that in this time, we must not simply talk or practice, now is the time to work, using these powers of infinite healing energy to help humanity.
